The bearings shown are single row with a cone and cup (inner and outer rings) and a pressed steel retainer. Metric tapers feature a simplified part number for a complete bearing. Inch tapers require a part number for the cup and one for the cone. The difference between the metric and inch tapers is only in the dimensions of measure for the bearings.

The design of Taper Roller Bearing allows for combinations of heavy radial and thrust loads with low to moderate speeds. This section covers only single row tapers although KOYO manufactures a full line of two and four row tapers as well. Metric designs function the same as their inch series cousins, the difference lies in the units of measure. KOYO metric tapers are standardly supplied with cup and cone together, while inch series bearings are available by the cup, cone, or cup and cone. The applications shown below are for either metric or inch bearings, with the equipment manufacturer choosing the preference of dimensional measurements. Metric tapers are usually found in equipment designed in Europe or Asia.

The cylindrical roller bearings are bearings capable of enduring high radial loads. This typology has high resistance to rapid and high accelerations thanks to the line contact between the rollers and the rolling tracks. Both the outer rings like the inner ones can be detached to facilitate assembly or disassembly, mounting with interference is also possible.
 

The deep groove ball bearings are composed of an inner and an outer ring as well as a cage with a precision ball set. These bearings are mainly designed to support radial and axial loads from any direction and allow operation at a relatively high speed. The technical dimensions conform with the ISO 15 Standard. In addition, they comply with the snap ring groove dimensions specified in the ISO 464 Standard.

Needle bearings are distinguished by being formed by a cage that houses a large number of rollers with a much smaller diameter in relation to its length. Needle bearings have a high load capacity taking into account the size of their section. This typology is suitable for applications where radial space is limited and the application sides where the bearing support serves the rolling track.
